Campfire Chocolate Bananas

A delicious campfire treat you can feel good about!!  Ingredients are for one serving – double, triple, quadruple as you wish!

  • 1 banana
  • 1 – 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1+ Tbsp honey – don’t hold back on this for optimum yumminess…  this is going to need to compete with s’mores that other kiddos may be having
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter, optional (or other nut/seed butter of your choice)
  • Aluminum foil

Leave the peel on the banana and cut length wise through everything but the bottom peel.  Carefully pry open.  Sprinkle on cocoa powder, drizzle on honey, and spread on some peanut butter.  Close back up.  Wrap in aluminum foil.  Place on campfire coals until sizzling – about 10 minutes.   Carefully unwrap (if it doesn’t seem done, wrap it  back up and cook some more) and serve.  Eat with a spoon.  YUM.
