I was planning on making Sweet Potato Fries for dinner, but it is so so hot here, that there was no way I wanted to turn on the oven, so I opted to use the grill instead and make these. Super easy – nothing really to the “recipe,” but sometimes it’s nice to just have a good idea for a summer side dish.
- Sweet Potatoes, peeled if you wish, then cut into wedges so that the thickest part of the wedge is preferably 1/4″ – 1/2″
- Olive oil
- Salt-free Cajun Seasoning or other seasoning of your choice.
Preheat grill. Cut, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle spices. Toss until well coated.
Grill on medium for about 10 minutes per side, checking every now and then so they get blackened to your likeness. If you want them less blackened, you can cook at a lower temperature (for longer) OR you can pop them in a microwave for about 2 – 5 minutes before putting on oil and seasoning and then grill them after.
